Frequently asked questions
The questions people actually ask.
Including the awkward ones. If something is not covered here, email hello@agencyguard.com.au and we will answer it properly.
Not from us. We never contact your agency, and nothing we send you identifies AgencyGuard as the source unless you choose to tell them.
That said, many members do tell their agency — and the good ones respond well. A provider who is confident in their work generally welcomes a client who asks better questions. If yours reacts badly to being asked to explain a conversion number, that reaction is itself informative.
No. Most members simply upload the report their agency already sends them, and that is enough for a useful review.
If you would like a deeper review, you can grant read-only access to Google Ads, Meta Business Manager, GA4 or Search Console. We send written instructions and you can revoke it at any time. We never ask for passwords and will decline them if offered.
That is not what this service is for. Most reviews conclude that the agency is doing reasonable work with fixable problems, and the useful output is the list of things to raise with them.
Where we find something serious, we say so plainly and explain the commercial impact. The decision about the relationship stays yours.
One advertising platform or discipline — Google Ads, Meta Ads, SEO, email, or your website and conversion performance. Monitor covers up to two, Protect up to four, and Partner up to eight. If you are unsure how your setup maps to that, ask before you join and we will tell you honestly which plan fits.
It is a structured written form in your member portal, not a phone number. You choose a category, describe the situation and attach anything relevant — a proposal, a screenshot, a contract.
Monitor includes two submissions a month, Protect five, and Partner operates on fair use. Response targets are two business days, one business day, and same business day for urgent Partner questions.
Questions that are simply clarifying something in a report we wrote do not count against your allowance.
Annual members get it immediately. Monthly members unlock it after 90 continuous days of membership, which stops it being used as a one-month-and-cancel product. Your portal shows your exact eligibility date.
Yes. Every plan is month to month unless you choose annual billing, and you can cancel yourself from the billing section of your portal without emailing anyone or sitting through a retention call. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the current period runs to its end. Annual memberships run to the end of the paid year.
Your reports stay available for 30 days after cancellation so you can download them. After that, uploaded documents are deleted and your account record is retained only as long as required for tax and legal purposes. You can request earlier deletion at any time.
No. AgencyGuard provides independent marketing review and reporting. Our reports are professional opinions based on the information supplied to us. They are not findings of misconduct, and they are not legal, financial or investment advice.
Send us their response. If they have context we did not have — a test that was running, a tracking change already scheduled, a commercial reason for a decision — we will say so plainly in the following report.
We would rather be corrected than be right. A member who takes our report to their agency and gets a good answer has still got exactly what they paid for.
Partner members receive written meeting preparation — the targets to set, the questions to ask and what a good answer sounds like. Actually attending a meeting is available to any member as a paid add-on. We price it separately rather than bundling it, because unlimited meeting attendance inside a $249 membership could not be delivered honestly.
Once you have completed onboarding and uploaded a report, your first Honest Marketing Report is typically delivered within five business days. After that you are on a monthly cycle aligned to when your agency reports to you.
